Trullando - Puerto Rico Card Game

Trullando - Puerto Rico Card Game

Trullando is a card game that combines 55 images and 15 cards with phrases from Puerto Rican "Trullas". The game turns Puerto Rican Christmas into an experience full of laughter, music, and teamwork.

It was created with the purpose of preserving and celebrating our Christmas traditions, especially the Puerto Rican "Trullas", encouraging new generations to learn about and enjoy them.

It is a game designed to bring families together so that through fun, all generations can learn even more about our culture and Puerto Rican pride, both on the Island and in the diaspora.

Game Objective:  To guess and sing Christmas carols among friends and family to celebrate and perpetuate our Puerto Rican traditions.

How to Play:

  1. Place the picture cards face up next to each other. The phrase cards should be grouped face down.
  2. Two teams are formed. Maximum of 6 players each.
  3. One player from the starting team takes a card from the phrase deck and must read it without the others seeing it.
  4. The player has 1 minute (set by the sand timer) to select the images that best represent the phrase they drew (only the phrase). They cannot speak, gesture, or give clues.
  5. If the team guesses correctly before the timer runs out, they get one point for each image used.
  6. One point is deducted from the team for each image used that is not related to the phrase.

Who Starts? - The team with the youngest player.

Who Wins? - The first team to reach 25 points.
